Orbit Downloader is a free application that allows you to download videos from many sites without the hassle of downloading many individual programs. If you do a quick Google search for “downloading YouTube Videos”, you’ll get hundreds of results, varying from applications, like YoutubeGet, to Web 2.0 sites, likes File2HD.com Unfortunately, those methods usually only work for YouTube and downloading from Dailymotion would be a whole other thing. That’s what makes Orbit Downloader so great! It’s compatible with HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, RTSP, and MMS protocols, which allows Orbit Downloader to download virtually any video! The only big fault is that it misses support for the RTMP protocol, although Orbit Downloader says it well be available soon.

All in all, Orbit Downloader is a solid and free application that allows you to download a variety of video. As I always say, the best things in life are free. This is a great example because I just purchased YoutubeGet for $29.95 and it can only download Youtube videos. Yet with Orbit Downloader, I can download virtually anything and for free!

Alright, I try not to make any posts about warez. But, I think I’ll make an exception this time. Just for the record, I support P2P technology but DO NOT support warez and any other illegal content in any form. So let’s get down to the story.

The Pirate City is a site that streams movies, lots of them for free. It has a much larger collection than Netflix or Hulu. The pros is that it actually has good movies as well as recent releases, unlike it’s legal counterparts which has a more limited selection.

Streaming is decent; Hulu definitely beats The Pirate City in terms of speed. The Pirate City usually takes up to 10 seconds to stream and some videos (not a lot) are broken. Overall, in site aesthetics, Hulu and Netflix stays in the lead, but hey, isn’t the content what’s most important? It’s worth mentioning that they have Iron Man and Knight Rider available now as well!

Sure, the huge movie collection may seem unresistable but keep in mind that The Pirate City don’t have the rights to the movies. Think it’s worth it? Either way, check out The Pirate City!
